The Keys to choosing a Good Smartphone: Price Segment
How important identifying the price segment is?
Hey there, I am Sagnik, a new face in this ‘Medium’ of communication. And without any sort of ‘Technical Introduction’, getting directly into the point.
I seem to like the current smartphone trends with all the punch-hole bezel-less displays, countless cameras but what I always look for while reviewing, choosing, or referring a smartphone to my friend or family is what they would need in their daily driver. Is the user really looking for that extra Wide Angle Lens, or rather he is looking for a smooth, interactive, ad-less UI?
The exposure of smartphone brands is targetted to a set of audiences. The audience they need, the audience the smartphones would appeal. While all the upcoming smartphones may seem very appealing to you, but at least 50 percent of them are not made for you. So, you should keep some points in mind while choosing the best suitable one for you. Lo let's jump to The Pillars of a Great Smartphone (Term coined by Marques Brownlee). In this blog, I’m going to discuss what are the constrains while choosing the budget for your next phone.
Budget:
Before choosing smartphones or any Technical Gadgets, you should first finalize your budget. Smartphone has different price segments. Though there is no clear divider between the segments, I am trying to separate them as clearly as possible.
Budget Segment: Under 10000 INR.
Mid-range Segment: 10000 INR to 20000 INR
Upper Mid-Range Segment: 20000 INR to 30000 INR
Flagship Killer: 30000 INR to 40000 INR
Premium Range: above 40000 INR
As I said there is no such fine line, so you can find some alterations but that’s totally natural in today’s aggressive smartphone market. So, you have to choose in what segment you are going to look for the options. Don’t have a budget of 20000 and look out for Premium Features then you will end up choosing nothing.
What should look for in these phones to select I will discuss in the new part.
